RUMOR: Original Six Teams Discussing Trades

Two Original Six teams have had trade discussions.

As the NHL's March 1st trade deadline rapidly approaches, analysts and insiders continue to provide insight into discussions being had between organizations.

Mark Lazerus, Chicago Blackhawks beat writer for the Chicago Sun-Times, reported earlier that the Windy City's franchise has had talks with its Original Six rivals Detroit Red Wings recently. The Blackhawks have inquired about forwards Tomas Tatar (RFA) and Gustav Nyquist:



Lazerus added that he believes that the Red Wings could be in search of much-needed help on defense, and offers his opinion on who would be ideal for the 'Hawks:




Finally, he added that at least two sources have confirmed this rumor to him directly. 




26-year-old Tatar has posted 10 goals and 22 points in 46 games played thus far, while Nyquist has struggled mightily to find his form with only seven goals and 17 points to his name.
