Rumor: Pens already planning another move!
Keystone Press

The Pittsburgh Penguins landed forward Riley Sheahan earlier this week from the Detroit Red Wings to boost their offense at centre.

But it seems that Plan B is already going and that GM Jim Rutherford might be planning his next move.

According to Jimmy Murphy and other sources, the Penguins are still inquiring about Russian forward Danis Zaripov

The National Hockey League's decision to allow Zaripov to play in their league despite his two-year ban from the International Ice Hockey Federation has been met with a great deal of controversy, but that does not appear to be deterring NHL teams.

The Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning have also been interested in landing Zaripov during the offseason.

Sheahan will have to make a good first impression since the Pens already a solution in mind.
