Here we go: the Matt Duchene saga is getting bigger and bigger, with another chapter being added on Friday. The Ottawa Senators reportedly made another push to get Duchene this week, but the deal fell through.

League sources revealed Saturday the Senators attempted to work a three-way deal with the Nashville Predators and Colorado Avalanche, hoping to get the 26-year-old forward but in the end the deal trade fell apart.

While it has not been revealed what Colorado would have gotten in return, it was said that Sens forward Kyle Turns would have been shipped to the Nashville, while Ottawa would have landed Duchene who has been on their radar for the past two seasons.

That's the thing: the Avalanche has been looking to move Duchene for the past two years but GM Joe Sakic keeps changing his mind. And it's not only his mind that keep changing: the asking price keeps changing as well and nobody has been able to nail Sakic down to the point where he finally pulls the trigger!

The failed trade attempt was made public and now Sakic will have to deal with this as he continues to try to move Duchene.

Don't worry folks, you are not done hearing about this saga!
