RUMOR : Sens may going after Russian UFA defenseman.

With the UFA market fast approaching, teams will look for options to upgrade their roster. A common fact is that all teams lost at least one player to the Vegas expansion and need to refill their roster accordingly. The Sens lost Marc Methot with great sadness, but life goes on and someone else needs to fill the jersey.

According to Pierre LeBrun, the Sens might be going after Dmitry Kulikov as an option to strengthen the defensive squad.

Kulikov is not exactly a superstar, but it's the kind of defenseman you know what to expect about. He can produce about 20 points a year but is mostly known for his shutdown style. At 6'01'', 204 lbs, he's no small dude to go in the corner with, although is not the toughest dude in the league either.

It will be hard to replace Methot, but Kulikov could be a decent option.
