The UFA season is coming up fast and huge names are on the list. It's sometimes heartbreaking to see star players move to another market after long years of faithful service to a team. The trade deadline season saw a huge trade happen this year when Martin Hanzal moved from Arizona to the Wild for an expected push for the Stanley Cup.
Of course, it didn't go according to plan and the Wild was a non-factor in the Playoffs. However, now Hanzal is free as a bird and the phone is ringing.
After spending so many years with the Coyotes, the jumbo-sized forward was traded to Minnesota and gave a lukewarm performance. It would be surprising to see the wild offering him anything and all bets are off. Many team would have the cap space for him, but at the same time Hanzal might not be the game changers some thought he would be only months before.
Where will he land? It's a valid question that will be answered in a few days.
