RUMOR: Star Player Could be Traded

This just in, Blackhawks’ Trevor van Riemsdyk has been reported as available for trade as the Blackhawks attempt to trim down the roster to seven defensemen total.

The star defensman has had a rough preseason and with the return of Niklas Hjalmarsson on the first line van Riemsdyk has not been given much of a chance to hit the ice and make his presence known.

Also with rookie Gustav Forsling cementing his spot on the defensive pairings, van Riemsdyk has not been able to find his place.

This is a major development and a total surprise considering that TVR played all 82 games last season with the Chicago Blackhawks.
