Rumor: Top college free agent has narrowed it to two teams.

It sounds like it's a two team race.

The are conflicting reports going around, and some of them suggest top college free agent Jimmy Vesey  has pretty much already made up his mind about who he will be playing for next season.

In a recent report for CSNNE, Jimmy Murphy, has claimed that a source within the National Hockey League has informed him that Vesey has narrowed down his team to the Chicago Blackhawks and the New Jersey Devils.

The Devils are without a doubt the surprise entrant to the sweepstakes here as they have not been mentioned in connection with Vesey prior to this. Needless to say the addition of both Vesey as well as Taylor Hall in a single offseason would be massive.

The Blackhawks on the other hand have been rumored to be the front-runner for Vesey and general manager Stan Bowman has made multiple trips himself to scout the young man. It should go without saying that the Blackhawks would certainly give Vesey a great chance at competing for a championship, but the inclusion of a team like the Devils could indicate he wants a bigger role.
