Rumor: Two Canadian teams pursuing Avs’ Barrie “heavily”

We’re just a day away from the start of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and general managers around the league will be working overtime the next 24-48 hours.
One GM who is reportedly looking to get in on the action is Joe Sakic of the Colorado Avalanche. According to a report from Avs insider AJ Haefele of BSNDenver.com, Sakic has put defenseman Tyson Barrie in play on the trade market.

Not to be outdone, Vancouver Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal of Sportsnet followed up Haefele’s report and reported himself that the Canucks are “heavily pursuing” Barrie via trade.

Furthermore, NHL insider Darren Dreger of TSN is reporting that the Montreal Canadiens “could” get involved with Barrie trade talks, as well.
