The Vancouver Canucks have not achieved the level of success they were hoping for over the course of the past few seasons, and now that has led to speculation regarding to of their top stars.

In a recent report for the National Hockey League's official website NHL reporter Tim Campbell touched on the rumors surrounding both Daniel Sedin and his twin brother Henrik Sedin. According to Campbell "declining production has led to considerable speculation that they aren't far from retirement."

Campbell spoke to Daniel Sedin during the European Player Media Tour and asked him about his future with the Vancouver Canucks and in the NHL.

"We think about our future on a regular basis, and we've said we're going to take it year by year now," Henrik Sedin said as be Campbell. "This year, we want to prove we can still play at a high level, and that's up to us to do. And we know that if we do, it'll be easier to answer those questions later in the year. So that's our mindset."

Both the Sedin's are entering the final year of their respective four-year contracts so it likely won't be long before we find out what they have planned for the future.
