Rumor: Two star forwards being connected to Maple Leafs in big time rumors.

There have already been some very interesting rumors surrounding the Toronto Maple Leafs, however this one might blow all the others out of the water.

According to a report from Jimmy Murphy, NBC Analyst Pierre McGuire was a guest on TSN 690 radio in Toronto when he revealed that the Leafs could add two huge names in what would be a pair of blockbuster moves.

McGuire reportedly informed Mitch Melnik that he could see the Leafs executing both a trade for Colorado Avalanche Star forward Matt Duchene, and on top of that could also manage to sign current San Jose Sharks star Patrick Marleau. 

Needless to say the addition of two players of this magnitude would absolutely ignite the Maple Leafs fan base, although one has to wonder how many pieces they would lose in a potential trade for Duchene. 

The good news for the Maple Leafs however is that they could sign Marleau at absolutely no cost to themselves, other than the salary cap that is.
