Rumor: Veteran Leafs player likely to be traded
Keystone Press

Tyler Bozak has been linked to many trade rumors since the beginning of the season. Many believe he will be dealt at some point, and the recent defensive struggles of the Toronto Maple Leafs defensive core reinforce that.

As reported by The Hockey News Lyle Richardson, teams that missed on the Matt Duchene/Kyle Turris blockbuster deal might wanna take a chance on Bozak.

«Several pending unrestricted free agents, such as Tavares, San Jose's Joe Thornton, St. Louis' Paul Stastny and Toronto's Tyler Bozak, could be available by the Feb. 26 trade deadline. However, that depends on where those clubs sit in the standings as the deadline nears. If they're all in the postseason chase, those players won't be going anywhere.»

Bozak, 31, was never drafted in the NHL. The Maples Leafs signed him as a undrafted free agent 2009. In 532 games played in the NHL, the Regina, Saskatchewan native registered 330 points. He added six points in eleven playoff games. Bozak will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

What do you think? Would you trade for this guy?
