He Might Have the Best Hockey IQ Around the NHL

Hockey is a tough business sometimes. Shane Doan won’t be back with the Arizona Coyotes after playing his entire career with the team.

It appears another story may be ending the same way as Dany Dubé, NHL insiders, reported that he believes the Montreal Canadiens won’t qualify upcoming UFA and veteran defenseman Andrei Markov.

Believe it or not, Andrei Markov is a former 6th round pick (#162 overall) of the 1998 NHL entry draft. He played 990 games in the NHL, all of them with the Montreal Canadiens. He scored 119 goals and registered 453 assists for a total of 572 points.

He is known for having one of the best hockey IQ around the NHL and being a power-play specialist. However he is 38-years-old and has slow down a lot during the past few years.

Would you take a shot at him?
