Yet another STAR player about to move as soon as this week?

It’s an NHL salary cap era and most of GM have to be creative to fit the most talented players possible without impacting the future of the organization. Trading is losing in popularity as teams are asking ridiculous price for their players. As a GM, you now have two options if you want to progress: Either you go by the draft or you try to sign KHL players who want to play in the NHL.

Evgeny Dadonov (30-31—61) described by Hockey’s Future, "as a small player with offensive skill, but he doesn’t shy away from the rough stuff and is willing to go into traffic in pursuit of the puck or scoring chance, or throw a hit on the forecheck. He has been developing his defensive game and has displayed admirable puck possession skills as a rookie at the NHL level against above average competition.

As per Slava Malamud, Dadonov could soon ink new contract deal with the Montreal Canadiens as soon as this week. Since The Golden Knights have signed center Vadim Shipachyov to a two-year contract, other parties like Dadonov would like to seal the deal with an NHL team as soon as possible.

Dadonov was the 5th best scorer in the KHL last year.
