Rumor: Young Caps' winger will reportedly sign in KHL
Keystone Press

Pending unrestricted free agent Stanislav Galiev is reportedly close to signing in the KHL. The young winger tried to fight for a spot in the Washington Capitals' lineup out of training camp last season, in vain. He was sent to the Hershey Bears and was not recalled during the season.

According to The Hockey Writers' Alessandro Seren Rosso, Galiev is rumored to sign with the Dynamo Moscow:

Kyle Mace, the editor-in-chief of Chocolate Hockey, a website dedicated to the coverage of the Hershey Bears, also believes Galiev is done with the NHL:

The 25-year-old winger was selected in the third round of the 2010 NHL draft. He played 2 games in 2014-15 and 24 in 2015-16 with the Caps. He recorded 21 goals and 19 assists for 40 points in 56 games with the Hersher Bears, the Caps' affiliate team in the American Hockey League.
