Rumors of a player for player deal between the Oilers and Islanders.

Both the Edmonton Oilers and the New York Islanders have had big trade rumors surrounding them, and now it seems like they may be the solution for one another.

According to a report from Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun, the Oilers have "kicked the tires" on a possible deal to acquire defenseman Travis Hamonic, a player who has been a large part of the rumor mill since the end of the playoffs. 

While not confirmed, Garrioch has suggested that the acquisition of Hamonic may have even been discussed as part of a deal that would send Jordan Eberle to the Islanders.
