Rumors of former NHL star making a comeback continue to heat up.

We now have too many sources on this story to consider it anything other than a reality, the only thing that could take this to the next level would be an official announcement.

Earlier this morning there was a report out of Russia that former NHL forward and international superstar Alexander Radulov was going to be leaving his current organization in Moscow, and in fact abandon the KHL all together in order to make a comeback to the NHL. While the initial report came from Russian reporter Igor Eronko Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman elaborated on that report and named four teams that were rumored as destinations for Radulov.

The four teams mentioned by Friedman were the Colorado Avalanche, who he initially reported were the favorites, the Washington Capitals, the Detroit Red Wings, and the Florida Panthers. Firedman has since backed off Colorado and Washington however.

The real kicker in this story, and perhaps the most convincing piece of evidence in this rumor, was a report just minutes ago from Aivis Kalnins that has revealed both CSKA Moscow, Radulov's former team, and Team Russia have no idea where Radulov is, and furthermore indicated the teams were expecting him to show up for training camp.

Update: Another report from Slava Malamud has just revealed the Russian Hockey Federation is furious with Radulov and that he is in fact in New York brokering a new NHL deal.
