Rumours: Blockbuster deal slowed down because of monetary concerns.

It would be a huge deal.

Earlier this week, on Thursday, Sportsnet reported that Jonathan Drouin would be traded in the next 24 hours.

Well here we are on Saturday and nothing has happen, yet.

According to TSN's Bob McKenzie, the St-Louis Blues and the Tampa Bay lIghtning are discussing a blockbuster deal, but monetary concerns are slowing down the process. Jonathan Drouin would go to St-Louis in exchange of Robby Fabri and Kevin Shattenkirk. McKenzie adds that a goaltender would go in St-Louis' way, but no name were mentioned.

Depending on who the goaltender is, it could be a real difficult situation because of the salaries of the players mentioned above.

Maybe Ben Bishop could return to St-Louis, or it might be the young Andrei Vasilevskiy.

The problem that we have at Hockeyfeed is that why is Kevin Shattenkirk's name always in the rumour mill. He is a good young offensive defenceman with great numbers, despite playing a defensive system under Ken Hitchcock.

Who would be the eventual winner in that trade? Should the Lightning move Ben Bishop?

Time will tell.
