Ryan Kesler calls out NHL player and his team for being soft.

Tensions were already at an all-time high between the Anaheim Ducks and Calgary Flames after the injury to Flames superstar Johnny Gaudreau and now ryan Kesler has just poured gasoline over that fire.

On Thursday night the Ducks got a big win over a Flames team that had embarrassed the Ducks in their most recent match up. This time the Ducks entered with a clear game plan, and part of that plan was to focus Gaudreau something that Kelser readily admitted.

"We’re good when we’re hard to play against," said Kesler as per the Orange County Register. Particularly me. I thought if I had a chance to get a lick on him, I would."

Kesler seemed to imply that the dimunitive Gaudreau was soft, and perhaps by extension that you could get under Gaudreau's skin, and perhaps the skin of the entire Flames roster by getting physical with him.

“Obviously he’s a smaller guy and he likes to have his skating room. Doesn’t like to get touched. You can see the way their team reacted when you do that.”

The Flames will likely be looking forward to their next match up against the Ducks, and looking for revenge.
