I lost it when she tried to pronounce “Shesterkin”.

Ryan Strome’s Mom goes viral with incredible pregame speech and lineup announcement

Don’t look now but the New York Rangers are making a bit of a surge. The Blueshirts are 7-3-0 in their past 10 games and have looked sharp in front of rookie goalie Igor Shesterkin.

While a playoff spot might seem out of reach for the Rangers this season, there’s reason to believe that this team will be in contention for a spot in 2020-21, thanks in large part to their young core… oh and some stud named Artemi Panarin. The Breadman has been a revelation in his first season with the Rangers putting up 30 goals and 79 points in 58 games so far.

Aside from Panarin, players like Mika Zibanejad, Ryan Strome and Tony DeAngelo have all taken their games to the next level, as well. Shesterkin and Alexandar Georgiev look to be the real deal in net, so much so that there’s real concern for what the Rangers do with living legend Henrik Lundqvist.

Oh… and one other thing: This team is fun as Hell.

Need some proof? Check out this video of Strome’s mother Trish reading out her son’s team’s lineup ahead of last night’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Move him the puck! Move him the puck!

Absolutely priceless.

Oh… and to make things even better, Ryan scored. The celebration in the Moms’ suite was better than the celebration on the ice:

Keep rockin’ it, Mrs. Strome. With any luck you’ll be cheering your boy on in the playoffs next season.
