In case you missed it last night, the Buffalo Sabres managed to get past the San Jose Sharks in overtime to win their 10th consecutive game! Sabres leading goal scorer Jeff Skinner potted his 19th of the season in overtime to seal victory, but it wasn’t Skinner’s goal that was topping the highlight reels last night, it was defensemen Rasmus Ristolainen’s game opening goal that was creating all the buzz.

Lost in all the hoopla of the Sabres selecting Rasmus Dahlin first overall this past summer, fans have forgotten that the team’s OTHER Rasmus is still a very skilled blue liner himself.  The 23 year old Finnish defenseman already has three goals and 14 points in 25 games this season and is on pace to set a new career high in points by season’s end. But enough about stats… let’s get to the goal and the CELLLLLYY.
