The Buffalo Sabres take on the New York Rangers later tonight and some changes had to be made as defenseman Zach Bogosian makes his return to the lineup.

Bogosian has missed the last two games with a lower-body injury. He will replace Matt Hunwick on a defense pair with rookie Rasmus Dahlin.

The Sabres conclude their seven-game homestand and head coach Phil Housley also confimed that forward Casey Mittelstadt will miss another game with a lower-body injury. Housley added that Mittelstadt is getting close to returning and will join the Sabres for their upcoming road trip but remains day-to-day.

"It's tough," Mittelstadt said following the morning skate. "You never want to be watching, but I think it's a good learning experience for me. How many guys go their whole career without getting hurt? It's something to learn. Learn the whole rehab situation and getting back at it."

Here is the projected lineup for tonight's game following the morning skate:

Skinner-Eichel-Pominville
Sheary-Rodrigues-Reinhart
Smith-Sobotka-Thompson
Girgensons-Larsson-Okposo

Scandella-Ristolainen
Dahlin-Bogosian
McCabe-Pilut
Beaulieu-Hunwick
