The Philadelphia Flyers are expected to mathematically fall out of playoff contention in the coming days, however, there are still exciting happening for the team.

The Flyers have announced this morning that defenseman Samuel Morin will make his season debut Wednesday night in Philly as the Toronto Maple Leafs are coming to town.

Justin Bailey exits the lineup to make room for Morin.

The Flyers will be looking for some type of revenge as the Leafs delivered a blow to the Flyers playoff chances by rallying from down 5-2 for a 7-6 win just 12 days earlier.

Morin might not have been expecting a start tonight, but you can tell the young man will be pumped for the game:

"I wasn't even ready for it, I was driving here, having a normal day, not playing, getting ready to get bag (skated), having a cup of coffee, and some rumor was going around the room that I was playing. I was like, 'What the hell?'

Morin will be coming in a seventh defensemen. Since he was drafted by Philadelphia in the first round, 11th overall back in 2013, Morin has only played three games with the Flyers in which he did not manage to record a point.

We wish him luck on his season debut!
