Both David Krejci and Torey Krug are expected to fully recover at the start the season on the official roster.

The two went through successful surgeries (shoulder for Krug, and hip for Krejci) in the offseason, and when training camp began, the two were on a “modified contact” plan. They have yet to play in any preseason game this year.

However, Claude Julien feels as if they may be ready to start the season opener next Thursday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

When asked about their status, Julien said “I think that they’re that close that we will see them. I think there’s some decisions that have to be made, probably today, in talking to the medical crew and all that stuff, whether they’re ready tomorrow or whether they’re ready Thursday. That’s what we’ve got to kind of [figure out] in the next few hours.”
