Former National Hockey League forward Sean Avery is one of the most notorious players in the recent history of the NHL and unsurprisingly his new book seemingly lives up to his well-establish reputation.

According to a report from Neil Davidson of the Canadian Press, while Avery shares a number of stunning behind the scenes stories regarding his time in the NHL, three men in particular are the subject of Avery's vitriol. Those three men are former New Jersey Devils forward Ilya Kovalchuk, former New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur and his former head coach with the New York Rangers John Tortorella.

In the case of Kovalchuk Avery implies that the Russian superstar is too soft and furthermore indicates that he will never be a winner in hockey because "it's too hard."

Avery's issues with Brodeur are well documented and it's no shock to learn that the former NHL player took some pot shots at the legendary goaltender in his book. Avery calls Brodeur a "dirtbag" in his book, one who left his then wife for his sister-in-law, a story that was fairly well publicized at the time of the incident.

The man who gets it the worst according to Davidson however is head coach John Tortorella and while obviously he can't share all the details of Avery's books, especially not the more explicit ones, he does state that Avery described Tortorella as "A clown who was scared of the power I held with the Rangers."

There are a number of other stories in the book, including a shocking tale of how some Rangers players were high on ecstasy on their way to the funeral of former NHL enforcer Derek Boogaard, but you'll have to pick up his book to get the inside scoop on all of those.
