Seattle stuns fanbase with arena name and hints at team’s colors

We have been speculating quite a bit when it comes to the 32nd NHL expansion team and what their name will be, as we still await to find out. 

However on Thursday, one name was revealed and it ended up surprising a lot of people. It was announced that Amazon has bought the naming rights to Seattle’s NHL arena. It will be called the Climate Pledge Arena, and be the home to many firsts for different environmental initiatives in the league.

Fans were quick to react to the new name, and it definitely stirred up some controversy on Twitter. On top of that, fans began speculating some more about the colors used on the building, wondering if the team will be wearing green on their uniforms. 

When it comes to the green initiative, you have to admit it’s a great idea. However, the name does not seem to please the fanbase, which makes us wonder if the club’s name will have the same impact or even be as weird…
