Ottawa Senators forward Alex Burrows reached an important milestone on Saturday afternoon, when facing the Vegas Golden Knights. Burrows scored a goal to tie the game 2-2 in the second period. This goal was his 202nd in the NHL, but more importantly, it was his 400th career point.

Burrows, 36, was never drafted in the NHL. He was signed as a undrafted free agent by the Vancouver Canucks organisation in 2004. He played ten full seasons in Vancouver before he was traded to the Ottawa Senators at last year's trade deadline for Jonathan Dahlen.

In 856 games played in the NHL, Burrows registered 400 points, and he added 39 points in 85 playoff games. He helped the Vancouver Canucks to reach the Stanley Cup Final in 2011, when they lost in seven games to the Boston Bruins. Last spring, he was a key piece of Ottawa's run to the Eastern Conference Final, where they lost to the eventual back-to-back Stanley Cup Champions Pittsburgh Penguins
