The Ottawa Senators held their second game of the season at the Canadian Tire Centre on Thursday night, hosting the defending Stanley Cup champions St. Louis Blues.

While so much talent was on the ice, it seems like the crowd in Ottawa did not care. Red Scarf Union posted a picture of the bleachers for that game and it is empty seats galore!

As mentioned by the account user: this is pathetic. The user went on to criticize owner Eugene Melnyk, wishing he was not a member of the team already, adding that he is destroying the Senators.

It wouldn’t be the first time Senators fans are blunt about how they feel towards the controversial owner. Fans remembers the departure of beloved Daniel Alfredsson and the comments he made at the centennial game. And we all know how he feels about spending money…

There are rumblings - once again - that the team could be for sale.

Many fans vowed before the start of the season to boycott games in Ottawa and it feels like they are following suit…
