The Maple Leafs made it crystal clear when they brought in Mike Babcock ,with a record setting contract for a head coach, that they were aiming for a long term rebuild, and that everyone but the new coach was expandable.

With that in mind the expectation is that Toronto will be in full on sell mode prior to the trade deadline, and with a number of unrestricted free agents on the roster, the Leafs have plenty of trading chips they can work with.

TSN's Frank Seravalli recently revealed a list of names he belives are likely to be on the move.

Parenteau has held up his end of the bargain with 11 goals and 11 assists in 43 games. He is one of many pending free agents on the Maple Leafs roster who aren’t likely to be part of Toronto’s long-term future and could help lessen the pain of the rebuild.

Other unrestricted free agents include Roman Polak, Nick Spaling, Shawn Matthias, Michael Grabner and Brad Boyes. Most are signed to easy-to-move contracts with the idea that they could ultimately bring back future assets and draft picks.

As for players who aren't likely to be dealt that involves a much shorter list, according to Seravalli Morgan Rielly and Nazem Kadri are two of those players, and goaltender James Reimer may be another.

As for potential destinations, we know that both the Sharks and the Red Wings had scouts at the game on Tuesday.
