More to come.

Interestingly enough, many of the reports have gone on to qualify that DeBoer has lost his job only due to performance issues. This isn't a Bill Peters or Jim Montgomery style firing, apparently.

In his five years as the Sharks' bench boss it's hard to argue that DeBoer did a poor job. He guided the team to a Stanley Cup Final in 2016 and a Western Conference Final last season. Unlike Peters, Montgomery and Mike Babcock... I don't expect DeBoer to stay out of work for too long.

According to NHL insider David Pagnotta, the Sharks have cleaned house firing DeBoer's assistant coaches as well, save for former Florida Panthers head coach Bob Boughner. Boughner is expected to take over DeBoer's position as interim head coach.
