It comes at no surprise.

With the team now out of the Playoffs, the Sharks' roster is available to be sent to the World Championship which is scheduled to begin next week. Of course, highly ranked players get the most attention and on Shark is now headed to Europe.

Marc-Edouard Vlasic has been named for the national team today.

This obviously comes at no surprise to hockey fans. Vlasic has been known for being a constant and reliable defenseman since his first shift in the NHL. He's been a winner on the international scene for a while, earning the gold medal in Sochi with team Canada in 2014 and the gold medal at the World Cup in 2016.

Good luck out there, Vlasic!
