And the Habs score on the ensuing play… not a great crowd reaction in Columbus.

Shaw levels McQuaid with a blindside hit and John Tortorella is NOT happy

Midway through the second period of tonight’s HUGE game between the Montreal Canadians and Columbus Blue Jackets, Habs forward Andrew Shaw collided with Jackets defenseman Adam McQuaid at the the Blue Jackets blue line. McQuaid appeared to shaken up as Shaw got a forearm up high, yet all Shaw was assessed was a two minute minor for interference.

Here’s the hit in question:



Ouch…

Suffice it to say that Jackets head coach John Tortorella was NOT happy with the two minute minor.



To make matters even worse, the Habs managed to pull ahead 2-1 on the ensuing four on four play.
