The Toronto Maple Leafs are facing the defending Stanley Cup Champions this evening and it sounds like Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe felt that some changes were in order ahead of such a pivotal match up.

The Maple Leafs top line will have a new look this evening thanks in large part to the serious injury sustained by forward Andreas Johnsson. Starting on the Maple Leafs top line tonight will be the Toronto Marlies top offensive star this season, National Hockey League veteran Pontus Aberg, and he will be flanked by Auston Matthews at center and William Nylander on the wing. This means that on the Maple Leafs second like this evening we will see the reunion of Zach Hyman and Mitch Marner on the wing and they will be centered by Maple Leafs captain John Tavares at the center position.

Also worth noting tonight is the fact that Maple Leafs rookie Pierre Engvall will be centering the team's fourth line, with Jason Spezza and Nic Petan on his wings for the evening. Of course all of these are subject to change both before, during and after the game, but this is how things look right now for the Maple Leafs this evening.

According to a report from Jonas Siegel of The Athletic here are the Maple Leafs full lines for this evening:
