Shocking rumors involving Carey Price, Habs are denying it.

There are some major rumors coming out of Montreal involving their star player, goaltender Carey Price.

According to comments made by the Montreal Gazette's Pat Hickey, a long time Canadiens insider, during his post-game vlog, a return for Carey Price is very close to becoming a reality, and Hickey's prediction was as early as next week. The Canadiens play Tuesday in Montreal and Wednesday in Buffalo.

It was an incredibly bold prediction from a very reliable source, especially when factoring in just how bad of a recovery process this has been for the NHL's reigning MVP. It also has raised questions regarding whether or not bringing back Price this season is the right decision, although with that said if he intends to play in the World Cup og Hockey it would likely be a wise decision to put him in net for the Habs first. Can you imagine the reaction if Price were to return for the World Cup and re-aggravated his injury without ever playing for the Canadiens?

The Canadiens have obviously heard the rumors that have been the buzz around town today, and now head coach Michel Therrien has addressed the media, in French, and denied those rumors. Therrien did not go into any kind of detail other than to shoot down the rumors of a return for Price next week, he also did not give any kind of timetable for when a potential return could occur.

Even with this denial from Therrien, it does sound like a return to action for Carey Price this season is a very real possibility.
