Buckle up ladies and gentlemen, this one might get bumpy.

During Sunday's Stanley Cup Finals action between the San Jose Sharks and Pittsburgh Penguins, the rough stuff began quickly as even the Penguins' star players aren't afraid to get into the fray.

Off of the opening faceoff, Penguins star Sidney Crosby took a whack at Sharks' center Joe Thornton after losing the draw. He delivers a nasty two-handed slash to the back of Thornton's knee, leaving Thornton pretty infuriated.

He immediately goes after Crosby and the two start a small shoving match.

The Penguins have since taken a 1-0 lead in the first period.

Expect there to be more rough stuff to come in this hard fought game.
