Six offers on the table for Mike Hoffman!

It’s been over three weeks since the free agency season has opened in the National Hockey League and fans are stunned to see that top forward Mike Hoffman is still available for teams across the league. There has been some movement since he became a free agent, however, Hoffman is reportedly not getting the numbers he is seeking as the most coveted UFA forward available. While Tyler Toffoli signed for an annual average value of 4.25 million on a four-year contract in Montreal and Evgenii Dadonov for a three-year, $5 million deal in Ottawa, TSN reporter Frank Seravalli recently reported that Hoffman is looking to get a deal with an annual value of $5.5 to $ 6.5 million per season, depending on the length of the contract.

It is believed that Hoffman has been offended by some of the offers he’s been getting though the latest news is that he now has six offers on the table to consider.

According to TSN’s Shawn Simpson, SKA is offering the most money out of those six offers, which means Hoffman might be considering a move to Russia.

If he is only after money, his decision might be coming soon with a shocking change in his career, however, some believe Hoffman is looking for an NHL contender to get a shot at the Stanley Cup and could be waiting for one of the five other teams to clear salary space to get him on board. Pierre LeBrun recently suggested that two perennial contenders are likely to be on there with those teams being the St. Louis Blues and the Boston Bruins. Both the Blues and the Bruins are currently dealing with significant injuries to some of their core players and that could prove to be a path for Hoffman to join either roster. The Blues have star forward Vladimir Tarasenko sidelined and late to start the season, while the Bruins have David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand each dealing with injuries of their own that will cost them both playing time in the first months of action.

Hoffman is probably consider all six offers and we’re hoping to have a decision soon to picture him in a specific new jersey next season.
