Some good news for Scott Laughton after being carted off on a stretcher last night.
Keystone Press.

We still aren't sure how badly injured Philadelphia Flyers forward Scott Laughton was after that terrifying moment last night, but at least there is a bit of good news to report.

According to an official report from the Philadelphia Flyers organization, Laughton has just been released from hospital, at the very least a sign that he is out of danger. With that said, to no one's surprise the Flyers also confirmed that Laughton will not play in Game 5, and furthermore will not be travelling with the team to Washington, likely meaning a Game 6, if necessary, is also out of the question.

There is still a lot we don't know about this story, and if the reports that have filtered out from Flyers' insiders are any indication, the Flyers themselves may still be waiting to find out exactly how severe it is. The Flyers did add that they would be providing another update on Laughton's status in the next couple of days.

For now he's out of the hospital, and that news is good enough considering just how bad it looked last night.
