This rumor just got real juicy.

If you follow our site closely by now you have heard the trade rumors floating around the Anaheim Ducks, and by now with the amount of smoke billowing through the air there can also be no doubt that there is fire here, the Ducks will at some point make a trade.

However we now have information from an extremely credible source that suggest the Ducks situation may be much more dire than previously believed. According to Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman he has it on good authority that the Ducks won't be forced to make one move, they will be forced to make multiple moves to get the Hampus Lindholm deal done.

From Friedman:

A couple of executives think Anaheim might have to trade two players off its roster, never mind one.

There was another piece of interesting information from Friedman, specifically when it comes to to the player who has been widely rumored to be the guy who will be shipped out of Anaheim, defenseman Cam Fowler.

A GM indicated Murray has little desire to do a Cam Fowler trade for picks/prospects, because he knows that doesn’t make his team better. (Fowler has three points in three games, one behind Ryan Getzlaf for the team lead.) The Ducks are good and that kind of trade sends the exact opposite message through your room.

Friedman is one of the best in the business, and considering his sources are high ranking members of NHL clubs, this is no longer a mere rumor. Expect a deal or multiple deals out of Anaheim sooner rather than later.
