As is tradition, the NHL kicked off 2019 with the very popular outdoor game, the Winter Classic. This year’s Winter Classic saw the Boston Bruins host the  Chicago Blackhawks in one of football’s most legendary houses, Notre Dame Stadium, in front of a sellout crowd of 76,126, which ranks as the second-most attended NHL game in history.

These people all saw the Bruins and their special teams beat the Hawks by the final mark of 4-2. In all, the Blackhawks gave the Bruins five power plays. Boston capitalized on the first two.

However, even if you are a Hawks fan and didn't get to see your favourite team win this very special contest, you were able to take in the experience and party with thousands of NHL fans. You also get to complain with them as it has been revealed by many on social media that the concessions were out of food and beer as early as the first intermission.

Yeah, by the first intermission. Come on, Notre Dame. See what fans had to say:

It is surprising that the stadium was not ready and well prepare meet spectator demands...

On Tuesday, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman also announced what will take place, outside, next season. The Winter Classic will be heading to Dallas’ Cotton Bowl Stadium, while the Winnipeg Jets and Calgary Flames will meet in the 2019 Heritage Classic in Regina and the All-Star Game will take to St. Louis.

You better believe these guys will be better prepared!
