It looks like the St. Louis Blues are committed to 24-year-old goaltender Jake Allen. Doug Armstrong announced on friday that the team and the young keeper agreed on a new two-year contract. Allen led all rookie goaltenders with 22 wins last season. He registered a 2,28 GAA and a ,913 save percentage. He also added four shutouts, becoming the first rookie goalie in team history to post consecutive ones when he didn't allow a goal for 184:38 back in November. Allen finished the season on fire, allowing two or fewer goals in his last eight starts and only one per game in each of his last four. He had an 11-2-2 record from January until the end of the season, good enough to give him the starting nod in the playoffs. The young netminder struggled though in the series against the Minnesota Wild, allowing 2,20 goals per game and registering a ,904 save percentage. The Blues lost to the Wild in six games.
