Stamkos leaves Game 3 after triumphant return and HUGE goal

In case you missed it earlier this evening, Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos made his long awaited return to the lineup for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Dallas Stars. And not only did Stammer return... he made his mark. 

Stamkos scored a CLASSIC Stamkos-like goal in the first period to give the Lightning a 2-0 lead.

Unfortunately, that's about as good as things got for Stamkos on the evening. He did not play the last five minutes of the first period and did not take a single shift in the second period. He did however come off the bench to "test" things out.

With the Lightning up 4-1 though, don't be surprised if Stamkos stays stapled to the bench regardless of his status.
