Star forward admits he would consider a trade to contending team.

He's heard the rumors and he's ok with them.

There have been a lot of rumors coming off of the holiday break and you can rest assured that the players hear all of them, even if they will often suggest the contrary is true. 

One man who has heard the rumors is future Hall-of-Fame forward Jarome Iginla and with the current struggles of his Colorado Avalanche, as well as his expiring contract, it seems like he would welcome a trade to a contending team.

“Yeah, I’d consider it,” said Iginla as per the Calgary Sun. “I’d love to be in the playoffs and have that chance.”

The motivation for Iginla here is obvious, at this stage of his career he wants to achieve the ultimate success that has eluded him despite his magnificent career, Lord Stanley's Cup.

“That’s still the dream, and I think it’s still possible,” Iginla said of his quest to get his fingers on Lord Stanley’s shiny mug. “I would love to. I tell ya, I’d really appreciate it. I realize over all the years how many good things have to come together and how fortunate all the people that win it are.
