Stars owner messes up his pick's name!

Quite the mundane name too!

You know when you have just one job to do. And manage to mess it up. 

Major face palm. 

Of course, we had one of these moments at the NHL Draft in Vancouver on Friday night as the Dallas Stars headed to the podium to make the 18th overall selection of the night. 

Stars senior owner Tom Gaglardi was chosen to reveal the pick to the public, however, despite holding a piece of paper with the name of their pick on it, he managed to mess it up. 

Instead of calling Thomas Harley, the young defenseman, he called out Harley Thomas. 


Harley played his second season for the Mississauga Steelheads in the OHL last year, and he almost quadrupled his production. He went from 15 points (1 goal, 14 assists) to 58 points (11 goals, 47 assists) last year.

He has been one of those players who’s risen through the draft ranks this season, but clearly didn't stand out enough to Giglardi to get him to pronounce his name properly.
