This just in, the Dallas Stars have re-signed restricted free agent forward Denis Gurianov to a two year contract worth $5.1 million.

The 23 year old Gurianov led the Stars in goal scoring last season with 20 goals in just 64 games. The big winger was chosen by the Stars in the 1st round (12th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. In 86 career NHL games, Gurianov has 21 goals and 33 points.

FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has signed right wing Denis Gurianov to a two-year contract, which will run through the 2021-22 season. The two-year contract is worth $5,100,000 and has an average annual value (AAV) of $2,550,000.
Gurianov, 23, registered 29 points (20-9=29) in 64 regular-season games with Dallas during the 2019-20 season. Gurianov finished the season tied for second among NHL rookies and leading all Stars skaters with 20 goals, good for third in Dallas Stars history and tied for 13th in franchise history for most goals by a rookie.
The winger also ranked eight among League first-year players in points (29), which is tied for 13th in Dallas history for most points by a rookie. Additionally, among NHL rookies in 2019-20, Gurianov was tied for first in game-winning goals (4), ranked second in power play goals (7), and shared 14th in plus/minus rating (+5).
He also made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut in 2020, skating in 27 games during the postseason. His nine goals were second on the team and his 17 points (9-8=17) were sixth. Amongst League rookies, he led the league in goals and points, while he finished third in assists.
The right wing has appeared in 86 career NHL games, all for Dallas, registering 33 points (21-12=33). Gurianov has also skated in 190 career American Hockey League games with the Texas Stars, earning 112 points (54-58=112).
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound native of Togliatti, Russia was originally selected by Dallas in the first round (12th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
