Starting Lineup: Forwards &amp; Power Play

As the Detroit Red Wings ready themselves to face off against familiar faces on the Carolina Hurricanes- Martin Frk and Andrej Nestrasil- head coach Jeff Blashill is continuing to trust his gut regarding the lineup he intends on icing.

Through six games, the Red Wings have impressed with all-around efforts from goaltending, special teams, offense, and have gotten help from their defensive units which have impressed many fans.

Tonight, the team will remain relatively the same. Justin Abdelkader practiced earlier with his teammates and was rotating in and out of the fourth line, but will continue to remain sidelined with a lower-body injury. He’s expected to be in the lineup on Thursday night when the Wings visit the St. Louis Blues.
