Subban already puts Devils’ season in danger!?

Are you shaking your head or actually worried? How superstitious are you?

Toronto Maple Leafs fans were quick to blame rapper Drake last spring, when he showed up to encourage the Canadian team during the first round of the playoffs.

The Leafs ended up losing to the Boston Bruins - who went on to the Stanley Cup finals - and many fans believed it all had to do with the Drake curse.

You see, it all started back in April when Drake posed for a photo with Paris Saint-Germain’s Layvin Kurzawa. Kurzawa posted it to Instagram. Two days later, PSG lost 5-1 to Lille. Paul Pogba’s Manchester United also went down 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup after he joined Drake for a snap backstage. Arsenal lost 1-0 to Everton after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang posed with Drake at the O2 in London.

The list goes on… it even led to an Italian soccer team Roma posting a tweet banning players from taking pictures with Drake.

But you know who doesn’t care about bad omens and curses? That would be New Jersey Devils new defenseman P.K. Subban, who casually posed with Drake on Monday night.

Come on, P.K! The Devils are doing everything they can to be top contenders for the Stanley Cup this year. You really want to take that risk?

Well, he doesn’t care and quite frankly, we can’t wait to see how well Subban will perform in 2019-20 so, let’s all forget about that curse and be excited for this new start in New Jersey.

I am personally hoping we won’t have to deal with Drake - sitting close to coach John Hynes cheering Subban every game. We got enough of that during the Toronto Raptors’ games!
