One of the most highly anticipated match ups of the season may lose virtually all of it's luster.

Nashville Predators star defenseman P.K. Subban has missed the last several games due to a nagging upper-body injury, and it now seems like a very real possibility that he will miss the January 3td match up between the Predators and his former team the Montreal Canadiens.

Subban was traded for Nashville's captain Shea Weber over the summer, and fans of both teams have had this date circled on their calendar for a very long time, however if Subban were to be absent the match up would have significantly less meaning for those fans.

The good news is that Subban has not been officially ruled out of the game just yet, and remains day-to-day with his injury, and still has the length of the weekend to recover.
