Svechnikov’s brother vows revenge on Ovechkin after brutal KO

In case you missed it, Alex Ovechkin unofficially claimed the NHL’s heavyweight championship belt last night.

Midway through the first period of last night's pivotal Game 3 between the Carolina Hurricanes and Washington Capitals, Ovechkin absolutely TUNED UP Hurricanes rookie Andrei Svechnikov.

Ovi stunned Svechnikov with some HUGE right hands and sent the kid crashing to the ice with a brutal knockout:

Immediately afterward, Svechnikov’s brother Evgeny, who is a member of the Detroit Red Wings organization, took to social media and vowed to avenge his younger brother.
