Patrick Sharp, 34 year-old, was only diagnosed once with a concussion throughout his first 820 games played in the NHL and it was a "slight" concussion.

In late October, Sharp suffered his second "brain injury" when Brayden McNabb from the Los Angeles Kings got him good with a shoulder-to-shoulder hit. Sharp stayed on the ice for a while before heading to the dressing room.

The Dallas Stars' forward took a month to get back from this injury and scored a goal in 7 games since his return. Today, head coach Lindy Ruff said Sharp felt concussions symptoms and had to be placed on the IR. Sharp wasn't hit to the head since his return and might very well suffers backlashes from hisprevious concussion. This is the type of injury that could go on for a while. Hopefully, he won't rush into play this time.
