It was a night of bumps and bruises for the Rangers.

Not only did the Rangers lose their starting goaltender in Henrik Lundqvist after an unfortunate accident saw Rangers defenseman Marc Staal accidentally poke his stick through his mask, injuring his eye, but forward Tanner Glass was also shaken up after a fluke accident left him hurting.

During the second period of New York's Game 1 match up against the Penguins, Glass took a clearing attempt off the face, just below his eye, and went down to the ice in pain. Once glass managed to get up to one knee it was clear he had been cut open by the puck, and was obviously still in a good deal of pain. Much to Glass' credit he would return to the game after getting very briefly being looked at by trainers.
