Former Edmonton Oiler Taylor Hall will be making his return to Edmonton for the first time since being traded by general manager Peter Chiarelli to the New Jersey Devils in exchnage for defenseman Adam Larsson.

Hall spoke about his big return, and while he expects it will be an emotional one he feels the fans in Edmonton will welcome him as they have done with other former players in the past.

“I honestly don’t know what I’ll feel,” said Hall as per Jim Matheson of  the Edmonton Journal. “I think I’ll get a good applause … in the past when guys have come back and played they’ve always been gracious to them. I don’t think it’ll be any different. That’s the kind of people that are here in Edmonton. I really enjoyed my time here and the way they treated me.”

Hall has already faced the Oilers once this season but that game was in New Jersey, he believes having had the opportunity to play at home first will make this next game easier for him. He also points to the fact that he's coming to a new arena, one that he doesn't really have a connection to.

“It’s different than it would be if it was Rexall Place … this is a beautiful building but I don’t have any relationship to it,” said Hall. “
